In recognition of National Apprenticeship Week, Local 1 would like to recognize some of our standout Apprentices.
Jarek joined Local 1 in 2020 and is currently working for Masonry Preservation Group. Jarek’s instructors say that he has a contagious, enthusiastic attitude and always shows up on time and ready to work. Jarek is a leader by example and has a bright future in the craft.
David joined Local 1 in 2022 and works for P & R Masonry. His instructors describe him as eager to not only learn but to also help his fellow apprentices in class. David shows dedication to safety and quality and has a great work ethic that will serve him well in his career.
Michael joined Local 1 in 2019 and works for Knapp Masonry. Mike is described as having a great attitude and doing whatever it is he’s asked to in school and on the job. He is an apprentice who runs towards the work, always being the first to jump in and mix mud at school and clean up.
Marcus joined Local 1 in 2021 and works for General Masonry & Restoration. Marcus has had excellent attendance over the course of his apprenticeship and it shows in his skill set. Now coming to the end of his apprenticeship, he has taken to helping his fellow apprentices in training.
Jeffrey joined Local 1 in 2022 and works for Premier Building Restoration. He is described as having a positive attitude and great attendance at training. His willingness to work and always put his best foot forward sets him apart from the rest.
Mike joined Local 1 in 2022 after attending a 10-week training program and works for Dan Lepore & Sons. Mike is very involved and committed to the Union, always being present at Union meetings and other events. His peers rave about his dedication and work ethic.
Randall joined Local 1 in 2022 and works for Precision Custom Flooring. Randall works hard and sets himself up for success by showing up on time, always making sure he gets the job done, and focusing on the quality of his work. He has a bright future with Local 1 and is a great example to those around him.
Timothy joined Local 1 in 2022 and works for M&M Tile Inc. Tim knows the value of hard work and uses the knowledge he has gained in his apprenticeship so far to help his peers. His dedication is evident as he hopes to be known as one of the best tile setters in Local 1.
